My name is Tori Schneider, and I love Ensemble Thinking. I have danced my whole life, but as time passed I began to feel a disconnect. Entering into college felt like a new chapter for me, and my first one without dance. That is until I met Margaret. She pulled me into the wonderful world of improvisational dance, and I have never let go. I have studied a variety of improvisational dance techniques, but none have resonated with me quite like Ensemble Thinking. This form combines two of my favorite things about dancing, a collective, and improvisation. When I am studying Ensemble Thinking, I feel truly at home. This form is the basis for all of my creative works, as I believe it is incredibly generative and flexible. I aim to deepen my understanding of the form, connect with more of the pivotal figures involved in its practice, and keep on dancing.
